You Can Now Record Video Messages on WhatsApp
WhatsApp, the Meta-owned app has released yet another feature, video messages. You can now record short video messages directly in the chat on the messaging platform. The videos can be recorded for up to 60 seconds and be shared instantly.
WhatsApp believes this is a good way to be more personable and fun when chatting with friends or family. In their recent blog post, the company said “We think these will be a fun way to share moments with all the emotion that comes from video, whether it’s wishing someone a happy birthday, laughing at a joke, or bringing good news”.
Meta also added that the new video messaging feature will be easy to use, similar to sending voice messages. Additionally, you can record your voice messages hands-free by swiping up to lock the recording in place.
Your chats will be protected by WhatsApp, so if you had concerns about privacy, no need to worry! Video messages are going to be protected by end-to-end encryption. Therefore your chats are being secured by WhatsApp.
Users from around the world will see the feature being slowly rolled out. The messaging app announced that it will be available to everyone in the coming weeks.
