How to tag people on Twitter with Metricool

21 January 2022

Do you want to know how to tag other users on Twitter with Metricool? You are in the right place.

The first thing you need is a Metricool account. Are you ready? 👇🏻

If you already have it, go to your planner to schedule your first tweet tagging users:

▶️ Enter the Metricool and click on Planning.

▶️ Click on ‘Create New Post’ or choose the specific time to schedule.

▶️ A new window will pop up to create your post, click on the Twitter icon and write the content.

▶️ To tag a user, you have to add at least one image (four max.). Once you have added a photo,  you will see the option ‘+ Tag People’.

▶️ Search for the users you want to tag in the Metricool search engine. The app will suggest names that fit your search criteria as you type the name.

You can also tag other users if you schedule a Twitter thread. In this case, you have to tag users in each of the tweets that make up your thread, not in the thread itself.

▶️ Choose the users you want to tag in your tweet, select the time and date and click ‘Save’.

Why schedule your Twitter content with Metricool

If you tag a user on Twitter from Metricool, you have to follow the same rules and restrictions as if you do it from the Twitter app itself.

You can tag a maximum of 10 users, as long as they do not have the tag option disabled, they have not blocked you on the social network, or their account is not private.

Also, you can only tag tweets that include one or more images. Even if they add more than one image, the limit of ten tags won’t change as this limit is based on tweets no photos.

So, what are the advantages of scheduling your content on Twitter with Metricool?

âś… Schedule your tweets.

From Metricool, you can program your tweets and tag up to 10 users.

From Twitter, you can only schedule tweets without a tag.

âś… Work with all social networks.

With Metricool, you can simultaneously schedule your content on different social networks you work with.

You can share the same content on Instagram or Twitter and tag users on both platforms.

In other words, you will save time, and you will be able to leave all your content planned while you dedicate yourself to other essential tasks for your business.

You will find information about this feature and many others in this Metricool’s Megatutorial.
