So if your business is something where photos or videos could be taken such as beauty salons, restaurants, real estate, etc are great businesses to showcase their products and services on Instagram. This is not to say that if you do not have many photos and videos you should not be on Instagram. Graphics are a big posting style as well on the app. 

Another factor to consider is the demographic of Instagram. According to Social Shepherd, the age group most prominently on Instagram is users 18-24 years old. So be mindful when posting on this app that your audience will primarily be younger people. 

Businesses should aim to post 2-3 times per week and no more than 1-2 times daily. This is a sweet spot to show your audience that you are active on the app, but not over-posting so that each post gets its own time to shine. 

How Often Should Businesses Post on Facebook?

Facebook has some similarities in terms of posting styles on Instagram in regards to prioritizing photos and videos, but Facebook also allows links in the actual post and is more heavy on text in posts. 

Another difference between Instagram and Facebook is that the age demographic is a bit older at 25-35 years of age. So when posting on this app it is smart to be aware that a lot of your audience will be in this age bracket. 

Businesses should aim to post 1 time per day or 5 times per week. Posting frequently on Facebook alerts your audience that you are an active business but as far as Instagram be careful of overposting. 

How Often Should Businesses Post on Twitter (X)?

When posting on Twitter as a business, it is important to understand the posting style on this app. This app is very different than many of the other apps. Twitter has been known for short text-based posts. Now in the highly visual world that we live in, Tweets nowadays perform better when you add a visual element in as well. 

The age demographic on Twitter or X is more all across the board. So posting on Twitter, depending on your brand could have all kinds of age demographics following you. 

This app is where you can post a lot more than many other apps. In fact, the sweet spot is 3-5 times per day! This app happens fast and conversations are happening all the time posting your own content or engaging in threads frequently is a great strategy for Twitter.

How Often Should Businesses Post on Threads?

Threads is similar to Twitter in the fact that it is much more of a text-based posting platform where you can interact and engage in conversations having to do with your industry while also creating original content frequently on the daily. 

In fact, it has been found that posting 4-10 times a day is the sweet spot for the amount businesses should be posting on Threads. Unlike Twitter, Threads has a younger audience demographic. The majority of the users are between 18-24 years of age. 

How Often Should Businesses Post on LinkedIn? 

LinkedIn is very unique when it comes to social media platforms. This app has much more of a professional feel and has unique posting styles. Unlike the other apps, this app is not where you would post your flyest selfie, instead, this is where businesses should participate in conversations having to do with their industry, posting job openings, and celebrating business accomplishments. 

The age demographic on LinkedIn is about 60% of 25-34 year old users. When it comes to the amount to post per week, the sweet spot is between 3-5 times a week

How Often Should Businesses Post on TikTok?

TikTok is a very fast-moving app in terms of trends and such. This app prioritizes short-form videos that are very engaging. This app can be tough when considering it for your social strategy. 

Videos are harder to create, but TikTok has the ability to get your content in front of a huge amount of eyes. The age demographic on TikTok is primarily 18-24 year olds. 

To be successful on the app, they recommend posting up to 1-3 times per day. 

How Often Should Businesses Post on YouTube?

Between YouTube long-form videos and YouTube Shorts, this app is obviously only video content. So if it makes sense for your business to showcase their products or services in a video YouTube could be a good idea. If your business could teach your audience something, this also makes for great video content on YouTube.

The age demographic on YouTube is the majority between 24-25 years old. The sweet spot of the amount of posts is 1 time per week. These videos take longer to edit and film so this is why the frequency is less. In regards to shorts, you could post more of these a week.

As you can see each app is different in regards to posting styles, age demographics, and posting frequency. So it is important to do adequate research before beginning to post on each platform. Make sure that the platform makes sense for your brand.
