A Pin is a visual representation of a product, guide, or infographic. A Pin can include three elements:
- An image
- A video
- A link
- A product tag
- A description
If you post a pin that contains a website link, when users click on your pin they can navigate to your site. Users can also click the Save button to save pins individually or add them to a board.
⚡️ Boards
A board includes several Pins, usually organized by topic. Many create “mood” boards of products, travel, food, lifestyle, etc.
➡️ You can have individual or group boards, where you can save Pins from other people.
Boards are public, so when someone checks your profile, they will have access to all your boards and Pins.
➡️ You can create secret boards that will only be visible to you.
⚡️ Engaging on the platform
Once you enter the app, you will have a Home feed page that features pins related to your interests and content you have already pinned or added to a board.
You also have the option to share pins via a private message in the app or externally with a link. You can also like a pin, leave a comment (if the creator has turned on this feature), and view similar items below the pin.
In the app, you will see an icon message in the bottom menu. Here you can view any updates and private messages.
⚡️ Searching on Pinterest
This network has an extensive search engine that helps you find what you’re looking for. Here you will find ideas for you, based on your previous searches and pin saves. Plus, the network will share ideas for trending topics on the app.
