Three social media automations that take the repetitive work out of your week

Deciding what to post is the part that needs you. Everything after that tends to be the same handful of steps on repeat, where you write the post, find the image, open the calendar, schedule it, and then come back two weeks later to see how it performed. Do that across four networks and a full month of content, and it stops being a small job.
A lot of that work can run on its own.
In this session, we’ll build three automations live, from a raw idea all the way to the performance data landing back where the idea started, and you’ll see every click it takes to set them up.
Why we asked Make to join us
Daniel Zrust is a Senior Value Engineer at Make, which means he builds these workflows for a living and has seen what companies automate, what quietly breaks three weeks later, and what isn’t worth automating at all. Make itself is an automation platform that connects the tools you already use so they pass work between each other without you in the middle. What you’ll see is the version that holds up against a real content calendar, not the one that only works in a demo.
What we’ll build:
An idea becomes a draft.
You write one line about what you want to post. Make’s AI agent turns it into a full post that follows your tone of voice, your guidelines, and your language.
You take one look at it.
You add the image or video link yourself, so nothing reaches your calendar without a person seeing it first.
The draft becomes a scheduled post.
A second automation sends the finished post into Metricool as a scheduled draft, sitting in your calendar with everything else, with no manual entry.
The post reports back.
Once it’s live, a third automation pulls its performance data back to where the idea started, so the place you plan in is also the place that tells you what worked.
How this works underneath
What you need
Metricool’s API is what lets an automation create a post and pull its numbers back out. We’ll show you exactly how that connection is made and what else it opens up once it’s in place, so you can take the same building blocks somewhere else.
A Metricool account and a Make account. These automations run on paid features in both tools, so everyone who joins gets a code for two months of Make’s Pro plan with 20,000 credits, and 30 days of Metricool’s Advanced plan. That’s enough time to build all three automations, run them on a real month of content, and see whether they earn their place before you decide anything.
You don’t need to have built an automation before, and you don’t need to write any code.
