Instagram Reels Analytics

15 March 2024

It has been the year of Reels, and it seems there’s no stop in sight. If you’ve made it this far, you know the importance of measuring and analyzing Reels on Instagram.

Okay, you know it’s critical, but how can you measure Reels metrics? With Instagram and Metricool, you have all the information at the click of a button.

Instagram Reels Insights

From the Instagram app, you can access the insights of each Reel you have uploaded. To access them, just go to the Reel you want to analyze > click on the three dots button > click on Insights.

What information does Instagram give you about the Reel you have uploaded?

Overview

At first glance, Instagram provides the most important information about your Reel including how many times it has been played, how many accounts it has reached, the number of likes, comments, and how many times it has been sent and saved.

Reach

In this next section, Instagram breaks down how many accounts your reel reached, both followers and non-followers. Then, you will see the number of plays, replays, watch time, and average watch time.

You will also see a graph showing audience retention over time, to see where viewers may have dropped on your video, and the percentage of those who watched until the end.

Reel interactions

This next section breaks down all of the interactions on the reel, including likes, comments, shares, and saves.

Monetization

Lastly, if you have turned on monetization for this reel, you will see the gifts received and any revenue earned.

Organic Interactions

The next section is a detail of the interactions received. A way to understand users’ participation with your content at a glance.

Here you can see your total likes, comments, saves, shares, and number of Reels posted in the period.

List of Reels

A complete list of all the Reels you have uploaded and detailed information about each one: publication date, video views, organic reach, likes, saves, comments, interactions, and engagement.
