Another new feature is being launched on Twitter. Just like many apps offer information like explore posts on Instagram, and suggested followers on many platforms, Twitter is now rolling out a similar feature with posts.
Elon Musk first discussed this new feature at an internal meeting where he discussed his ideas and updates he has for the app. This feature will be AI-powered and has been one of the biggest updates on Twitter (X) there has been. This feature is only available for the X premium membership on X.
What is the ‘Similar Posts’ Feature?
Every new feature that has been launched since Twitter became known as X has been in effort to make this the “everything app.” This feature will help users discover posts based on their past interactions and interests.
You can search about a specific topic and through similar posts, you can view all the other conversations going on about the same topic.
How to Locate Similar Posts
To find a similar post feature, aside from being a premium member, all you have to do is follow these steps:
- Click on the post that you want to see similar posts of
- Scroll down to the bottom
- Click on the sparkle emoji and ‘See Similar Posts’
- Scroll through the posts given
What is the “Dissimilar Posts” Feature?
There has also been talk about the exact opposite feature. This feature will be built to show users content that they would not normally see or that is different than their views.
This feature will urge users to create more conversation on the app by exposing people to new and opposing views. This has the potential to teach people about both sides of things as well as create more dialogue and engagement on posts.
Why Launch a Similar and Dissimilar Post Feature?
There were many reasons other than lots of user feedback that these features were launched. Some of the key features include:
- Deeper understanding of topics– being able to search about similar topics that interest you allows you to read more in-depth information.
- Understanding different sides– being able to view dissimilar posts, it will allow users to learn and broaden their horizons on information that they would not normally search for or see on their feeds.
- Empowering Users– having both features, Similar and Dissimilar, allows users to feel more in control of the content they see. This is very much more personal of a feed than the normal uniform type.

Elon Musk aims to launch a new AI product as well as ideas for other products in the works. The newest AI product is known as xAI. This product was launched to “understand the true nature of the universe.” This feature will be launched to a select group and there is not much information about it besides what Elon said:
