How the AI Carousel Generator Works

Claude designs the slides, finds the images, renders them at 1080 x 1350, and schedules the post in Metricool. The two tools talk to each other directly through the Metricool MCP, so you do not have to copy files back and forth.

The workflow runs on three commands:

1. /configure: Connect your brand or brands, your Metricool account, and your image sources. This takes about five minutes, and you only run it once.
2. /generate-carousel: Give the agent a topic. It writes the copy, designs the slides, finds the images, and shows you a preview at 1080 x 1350. If you would like changes, just ask. When everything looks right, it renders the final slides.
3. /publish-carousel: Review the caption, pick a time, and the agent uploads the slides and schedules the post on Metricool for you to review.

You can publish directly to Instagram and LinkedIn thanks to Metricool, and the setup works across multiple brands and networks.

How to Get Started with Claude AI and Metricool MCP

You will need two things installed:

• Metricool Premium account
• Claude (Desktop or CLI, both work): claude.com/claude-code
• Node.js 18 or higher: nodejs.org

Then pick whichever installation method feels easier. Both end up in the same place.

Option A: Claude Desktop (No Terminal Needed)

This is the simpler route if you are not used to terminals.

1. Open Claude Desktop and click the Code tab at the top, next to Chat and Cowork.
2. Set the unzipped folder as your working folder.
3. Type /configure in the prompt and press Enter.

Option B: Terminal

1. Open a terminal in the unzipped folder.
2. Run claude.
3. Type /configure.

Either way, the setup wizard walks you through Metricool, Playwright, Pexels, and your first brand. The whole thing takes about five minutes.
