Meta is expanding Meta One with new subscription tiers for creators and businesses, bringing its existing personal subscriptions and new professional plans under one umbrella.

Meta One now covers paid features for personal users, AI power users, creators and businesses across Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Meta AI.

Meta had already introduced individual subscriptions such as Instagram Plus, Facebook Plus and WhatsApp Plus earlier this year. The latest expansion adds four tiers specifically geared toward creators and businesses, with professional tools for content scheduling, analytics, audience and competitor insights, team management, Instagram links and AI-powered business tools.

Meta says the broader Meta One offering includes more than 50 features across its apps, with additional capabilities planned for Edits, AI glasses and other products. The core experience across Meta’s apps and Meta AI remains free.

What is Meta One?

Meta One is Meta’s umbrella subscription offering for personal users, AI power users, creators and businesses.

The plans fall into three groups:

  • Single-app plans: Instagram Plus, Facebook Plus and WhatsApp Plus
  • Individual and AI bundles: Core and Premium
  • Creator and business bundles: Essential, Advanced, Expert and Max

The single-app subscriptions were already available before the latest Meta One expansion. For example, Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus cost $3.99/month, while WhatsApp Plus costs $2.99/month.

What Do the Creator and Business Plans Include?

Meta One’s creator and business plans come in four tiers, offering more advanced tools for content management, insights and AI.

One thing to keep in mind: pricing is per profile, so a creator active on both Instagram and Facebook may need to pay for each separately.

Essential: $14.99/month

Essential is the entry-level plan for creators and businesses.

  • Link page with up to 20 links
  • Verified badge, pending successful verification
  • Impersonation protection
  • Verified WhatsApp Business channel
  • Enhanced profiles
  • More Meta Business Agent access
  • Single-app Plus features

Advanced: $49.99/month

Advanced adds more publishing, analytics and collaboration tools for professional creators and social media managers.

You get:

  • Instagram Stories scheduled up to 30 days ahead
  • Facebook and Instagram posts and Reels scheduled up to 1 year ahead
  • Instagram bulk uploading
  • Links in organic Instagram posts and Reels
  • Exportable analytics
  • Extended Instagram insights history
  • Competitive insights
  • Facebook audience insights, including people who interact with your content without following you
  • Team access without sharing passwords, for up to 4 people
  • 1 human support case per month via the Meta AI support assistant
  • Boosted/optimized search ranking for your profile
  • More WhatsApp Business broadcast credits and linked devices
  • More Meta Business Agent responses

Expert and Max: $149 and $499/month

These plans are aimed at creators, businesses and teams that need higher usage limits.

They include the professional features available at lower tiers, with more capacity for publishing, links, AI tools, team access and Meta Business Agent.

Direct links in Instagram and Facebook posts and Reels are one of the more notable additions.

The monthly limits are:

TierInstagram (posts + Reels)Facebook (posts + Reels)
Advanced4 + 48 + 8
Expert8 + 820 + 20
Max12 + 12Unlimited

For creators using Instagram to drive traffic to websites, products, newsletters or landing pages, these limits are worth keeping in mind.

Is Meta One Advanced Worth $49.99/Month?

Before you add another subscription to your stack, there’s one simple question to ask:

Do you already have these features somewhere else?

If you already use a social media management platform for scheduling, analytics and managing multiple networks, there can be quite a bit of overlap.

Story scheduling is a good example. It’s one of Meta One Advanced’s headline features, but you may already have access to it elsewhere, without adding another $49.99/month subscription to your stack.

Do You Need Meta One for Instagram Story Scheduling?

Not necessarily.

Meta One Advanced lets you schedule Instagram Stories up to 30 days ahead. But if that’s the feature that caught your eye, there’s something worth knowing: Metricool’s Free plan already includes Instagram Story scheduling, along with basic planning and analytics.

There are some limitations: Instagram content with unsupported features like certain links or interactive stickers may require manual publishing through a notification.

So before paying for Meta One Advanced just to schedule Stories, check what you can already do with the tools in your current stack or explore new options.

Why Is Meta Expanding Into Subscriptions?

Meta One also gives Meta another way to generate revenue beyond advertising.

Meta keeps investing heavily in AI, which is quite costly. At the same time, the company has been expanding its paid AI products and subscription offerings as it looks for additional revenue streams.

Meta hasn’t said that Meta One was created specifically to offset AI development costs. But the expansion of subscriptions fits into a broader strategy: diversifying revenue beyond advertising while monetizing more advanced AI and professional features.
